This heightened reality web-series starring LA-based Drag queen Vicky Vox was inspired by a love of live performance, a passion for drag and queer culture and the dilemma we all fOUND ourselves in with Miss Rona. It features Hollywood’s Raven-SymonÉ, Sir Derek Jacobi, Renée Lamb, Detox, Mayhem Miller, Meatball, Vinegar Strokes, Amy Louise Pemberton, Richard Clifford, Cindy Lin, Paul Michael Gibbs and Chris Poon.
Filmed remotely, in isolation, predominantly in the United States and produced, directed and edited in the UK, the web-series is now available via New Frame Productions YouTube channel.
The series offers some insight into the creative process of making a show during a pandemic, with a drag queen, across multiple time zones and explores the artistic vision, design concepts and music creation all while celebrating Vicky’s sentiment that “When the world goes to sh*t, sometimes you gotta celebrate a little harder.”

EPISODE 1 - “PILOT”
Lockdown 2020 and LA-based drag performer Vicky Vox is keeping busy live-streaming her all new Doing Great Diaries. With no warning, the quarantined peace she has created is disrupted by an unexpected delivery crashing at her door. Special Guest Star: Willam Belli
EPISODE 2 - “CROISSANTS”
Rehearsals are underway and it looks like Vicky has missed the memo regarding a key first day tradition. As schedules are put into action, the team realise that developing a show whilst in isolation is a little more challenging than expected and some unwanted news puts the whole project in jeopardy.
EPISODE 3 - “FACE THE MUSIC - PART ONE”
As a crisis of confidence takes over the House of Vox, she turns to friends and collaborators for inspiration. With news of a potential investor on the cards, the producers focus on ensuring the show's future. When Tom brings a new musical director into the mix, the stakes are raised and it just might be time for someone to face the music.
EPISODE 4 - “FACE THE MUSIC - PART TWO”
Lacking in human interaction, Vicky is struggling. She seeks connection and as a result, demands a live audience to preview the show. With the tightest of turnarounds, the producers begin making arrangements. Invitations are distributed worldwide & the RSVP’s start pouring in. With a clash of opinions and Tom insisting they are not ready, new musical director Chris continues to rehearse with Vicky as she vehemently prepares herself for the performance. EPISODE 5 - “VICE”
A late night for Vicky leaves Tom with a dilemma. The dancers are booked in for a rehearsal and if Vicky doesn't show up, the hours of work might prove futile. With more unexpected news and additional pressure from the producers, the situation spirals. The Vicky Vox Project is in crisis. Special Guest Stars: Detox, Mayhem Miller and Meatball.
EPISODE 6 - “THE BEGINNING”
Six weeks later and with no show to rehearse for, Vicky has been spending her days doing her card readings online. Today, new client Melissa is desperately searching for clarity regarding her marriage and with the session running over, Vicky is keen to cut loose. It all seems like another normal day on zoom until a surprise appearance literally changes everything... Special Guest Stars: Raven-Symoné, Amy Louise Pemberton and Renée Lamb
